3.1 We treat IMEI and serial numbers as technical device identifiers. We do not link them to an identified or identifiable person, and we do not attempt to determine who owns a device.
3.2 Where a source returns data that could relate to a person, we pass it through as received and do not build profiles from it.
3.3 You warrant that you have a lawful reason to submit each identifier you send us.
3A.1 Voice input ("Say IMEI") is optional. Your browser asks for permission to use the microphone, and recording starts only when you tap the microphone button. It stops when you stop talking, when you tap the button again, or after 30 seconds at most, and the microphone is released.
3A.2 The recording is sent from our server to OpenAI, which converts it into text. The text is used only to fill in the IMEI / serial and the service on the page; nothing is submitted until you press CHECK. We do not store the recording. The recognised text, the time, your IP address and your account e-mail (if you are logged in) are kept for 30 days to fix recognition errors and prevent abuse, and then deleted automatically. OpenAI processes the audio under its API terms as our processor.
3A.3 Recordings that contain no speech are not sent. Please do not say anything other than the device identifier and the service you want.
We share only what is necessary, with:
• Data sources and API providers — the identifier you submitted, to obtain the result.
• Payment providers — Stripe, Mollie and Revolut, according to the method you choose.
They are independent controllers for the payment itself.
• Infrastructure — our hosting provider and Cloudflare (CDN, WAF, DDoS protection).
• E-mail delivery — Amazon SES.
• Speech-to-text — OpenAI, only for the voice recording, and only when you use voice input.
• Website analytics — Google (Google Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity), only through the analytics cookies described in section 8.
• Accountants and auditors, and public authorities where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Some providers above process data outside the EEA (principally the United States). Those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or, where applicable, an adequacy decision. A copy of the safeguards is available on request.
Under the GDPR you may ask for: access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what was done before.
Write to contact@sickw.com. We answer within one month. You can also complain to the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro), or to the authority where you live.
Note that we cannot erase invoicing data before the statutory retention period ends, and closing your account does not remove records we must keep for tax purposes.
Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to production data is restricted to the people who need it. We keep audit logs of administrative actions.
8.1 Necessary cookies. We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, a cookie that remembers your cookie choice, and technical cookies set by Cloudflare for security and abuse prevention. These are strictly necessary and are not used for advertising.
8.2 Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used: pages visited, clicks and scrolling, device and browser type, and approximate location. Clarity can record how a page is used (mouse movements, clicks, scrolling) to show us where the site is hard to use; text typed into fields is masked and is not recorded. We do not use this data to identify you and we do not use it for advertising.
8.3 Your choice. Visitors in the EU/EEA get analytics cookies only after pressing "Accept" in the cookie notice; "Reject" keeps them off. Elsewhere they are enabled by default and the notice can be closed with "OK". To change your choice, delete the cookies of this site in your browser: the notice will be shown again. You can also block cookies in your browser settings at any time.
We may update this policy. The version and date are shown at the top. Material changes are notified by e-mail or in the panel.
